Carjacking in Ennis Joslin Apartment Complex Leads to Manhunt

Corpus Christi police are on the lookout for two men involved in an early morning carjacking that took place Thursday at an apartment complex on Ennis Joslin.

According to investigators, three armed men stole a Ford Mustang in the apartment complex just before 1 a.m. Two hours later, police found the Mustang, but the suspects led police on a short chase.

The Mustang tried to drive through a small park but got stuck, and the two men inside the Mustang bailed out, leading police on a foot chase. A juvenile remained in the car.

Police were looking for the two men who ran hours after the incident, and eventually called the K-9 unit to assist in the search.

"They were armed, or potentially armed," said Captain Ed Shannon of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "We were safe, trying to keep our officers safe, going house to house."

If you have any information about the incident, or know the whereabouts of the two suspects at large, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
