CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Carroll Tigers were desperate to snap their losing streak Saturday, and that's exactly what they did against state-ranked Calallen.
The Tigers used a sixth-run 4th inning to come back and beat the second-ranked team in Class 4A by a final of 7-5 and in the process snapped a five-game losing streak at Whataburger Field. Carroll couldn't carry that momentum over though, as the Tigers lost a second game to Laredo Alexander 6-4.
The Tigers wouldn't be in the playoffs if they started today, but luckily for them they have three more district games to try and climb back into the postseason picture. Carroll currently sits in 5th in District 28-5A, one game behind rival King.
