CCFD Kicks Off Annual Cancer Awareness and Relief Efforts Campaign

The Corpus Christi Fire Department brought out one of the most eye catching trucks in their fleet Friday as they kicked off their annual CARE campaign.

The CARE stands for Cancer Awareness and Relief Efforts, and the campaign helps raise money for various local cancer charities by selling t-shirts. Since 2009, the CARE campaign has raised over $150,000.

If you would like to get one of the t-shirts, they cost $12 and come in sizes small through XL. Sizes XXL-XXXXL cost $15. You can get them from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the CARE office located at 6014 Ayers Street.
