CCISD School Bus Involved in Minor Accident on Alameda

A group of 16 students onboard a Corpus Christi Independent School District bus had quite a scare Wednesday morning after being involved in a minor accident.

It happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Dolphin and Alameda.

"The white Chevy was stopped at the stop sign, waiting to make a left turn on Alameda," said Officer Conner of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "The bus was coming down Alameda and was going to make a left turn onto Dolphin Place. Basically, the bus driver cut the corner a little bit too close and struck the car."

EMS was called in to check on the students, but no one was injured. Another bus was sent to pick up the students, who were then dropped off at Hamlin Middle School.

The bus driver was given a ticket for making an improper left turn.
