CCPD Delivers Toys to Driscoll Children's Hospital

Members of the Corpus Christi Police Department stopped by Driscoll Children's Hospital Friday to donate some 30 stuffed animals and get-well cards to some 25 patients.

"I know that they are uncomfortable in an unfamiliar setting," CCPD Officer Kirk Stowers said. "They're in an area that is not home, so we're really trying to offer some comfort for those that need that. Especially at this time of year."

The cards were signed by members the CCPD. This is the first time the department has done this, and they hope to make it an annual event.
