CCPD Officer Rescues Dog from Corpus Christi Bay

Man's best friend got a little assistance from a police officer on Wednesday, after the dog fell into Corpus Christi Bay.

Pictures were taken of Senior Officer Jason Lee rescuing a Doberman that was struggling to stay above water. Lee was on a lunch break near Cole Park when the dog's owner waived him over for assistance.

Lee reached over the ledge and was able to pull the dog to safety.

"I laid on the concrete and reached down and grabbed the dog," Lee said.

Thanks to Officer Lee, the dog is just fine; just a little wet under the collar after his dip.
