CCPD Release Day One Results of Click It or Ticket Campaign

The Corpus Christi Police Department will be participating in the Click It or Ticket campaign all through Memorial Day weekend, and have released the results from the first day of their involvement.

On Monday, officers worked morning and afternoon shifts enforcing state seat belt laws while also looking out for drivers with expired stickers and those using their cell phones while behind the wheel. A total of 37 seat belt citations were given out, as well as two child restraint citations and 17 other citations for miscellaneous offenses, including one person who was on their cell phone.

They will continue enforcing state laws through the weekend hoping to get the message across to always be sure that everyone in your vehicle is properly secured by a seat belt.
