Chase Suspect Released from Hospital, Charged with Capital Murder

Brian Robles, 30, was released from the hospital Tuesday and booked into the Nueces County Jail on a host of charges, including attempted capital murder.

It was Monday, Feb. 17, when police say Robles led officers on a chase from downtown Corpus Christi to Portland, where the pursuit came to an end when the stolen vehicle he was driving in crashed. Officers said Robles pulled out a weapon and pointed it at them, prompting police to open fire.

Robles was shot several times and has been in the hospital since the incident. He is now behind bars facing several charges.
