Chief Peralta Retires from Nueces County Sheriff's Department

After over 30 years of service, Chief Peter Peralta of the Nueces County Sheriff's Department has decided to call it quits.

"It feels great, but it's also sad because, after 31 years, I made a lot of friends here at the county. Here at the Sheriff's Office," Peralta said. "And it's like saying goodbye to family."

A retirement party was held for Peralta Wednesday afternoon. He says that, after 30 years of being at work before 7 a.m., he is looking forward to sleeping in and doing some fishing.

We wish Chief Peralta all the best in his retirement.
