City of Alice Hosts Groundbreaking for Multi-Use Complex

The City of Alice held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday at the future site of the new Alice Multi-Use Complex, located between Highway 44 and FM 1554.

Alice City Manager Ray De Los Santos, Jr., called the project a major quality of life improvement for the city, which is expected to "provide recruitment and training tools for our businesses as well as fun, recreational activities for our families, friends and neighbors."

Alice Mayor John Lemon also spoke at the event, saying that

A large portion of the project is being funded by sales tax revenues from the Eagle Ford Shale.
