City Workers Participate In 100-Mile Motorcycle Ride

Have you ever wondered what city employees do on their days off?  About 50 city workers including the police chief and the city manager revved up their bikes for a 100 mile motorcycle ride.

It started out at city hall, went through towns like Orange Grove and Edroy.  It ended here at Brewster Street Ice House.  It was an idea that was started as a way to get city employees together and boost morale.

Police Chief Floyd Simpson said, "It allows us to get us to know one another outside of work.  We can then make for a better team as we move forward and serve the public."

The band called "Now and Zen" provided live music. By the way, all the band members are also city employees.
