Concerns Over Oil Spill Traces Arriving at St. Joe's Island

Concerns about remnants of Saturday's oil spill near Texas City making their way to the Coastal Bend surfaced Friday, a day after tar balls began showing up in Matagorda Bay.

Nearly 170,000 gallons of thick oil spilled into the Houston Ship Channel near Galveston after two barges collided Saturday. Traces of that oil have shown up in Matagorda Bay, and now the concern is that tar balls from that spill could be driving toward the north side of St. Joe's Island near Port Aransas.

Kiii News Reporter Michael Gibson went Live form Port Aransas with more on what officials are saying.
