The Corpus Christi Festival of the Arts will kick off Friday at Heritage Park.
One of the featured artists that comes down from California every year is street painter Julie Kirl-Purcell, who is known for her 3-D street murals.
Sarah Acosta was live with Kirk-Purcell on 3News First Edition following the progress of her mural.
The festival will kick off at 5 p.m. at the Art Museum of South Texas with film screenings. The festival will continue from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
It's a free family fun event that will feature artwork from all over the country, live music, dance and cultural performances, kid's activities and crafting and much more.
