Councilwoman Leal Slowly Recovering from Severe Stroke

The family of Councilwoman Priscilla Leal said that she is now able to move her right leg, and doctors say that's a good sign.

Leal suffered a severe stroke on Jan. 11, and has been recovering in a Harlingen hospital ever since.

However, the family did say that Leal is still having trouble moving her right arm. As for her speech, she will have to go through therapy, but doctors remain optimistic about her recovery.

Leal's family said they are still taking it day by day, and as of Monday night, they are still not sure when they will be able to move her back to Corpus Christi.
