CPR Performed on Child Found Unconscious in Neighborhood Pool

A young girl found unconscious in a neighborhood pool is saved by fast acting bystanders. It happened at a community pool on the 1700 block of Merriman, that's just off Paul Jones, near SPID.
CCPD says the pool was full of people when a 4 year old little girl was found floating in the water.  CCPD says this is the third near drowning Sunday and wants everyone to be safe at the beach and in a pool.  Sr. Officer Billy Gains said, "they looked around and asked where the child was, the mother looked around and saw the child floating, screamed, and other people saw the child was in pool pulled the child out and performed CPR."
The local chapter of the American Red Cross offers classes on CPR. For more information, visit this website, www.redcross.org/take-a-class
