Crews Respond to Construction Fire at CITGO East Plant

Emergency crews jumped into action Wednesday afternoon when a small construction fire broke out the CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery's East Plant.

The fire started just before 12:30 p.m. at the East Plant crude tower. According to CITGO officials, there were no injuries as a result of the fire.

Continuous air quality monitoring is underway. So far, there have been no readings of any hazardous materials in the air.
