Crime Stoppers: Catalytic Converter Thieves

The Corpus Christi Police Department is asking for the public's help to catch those responsible for stealing $88,000 worth of catalytic converters from a local dealership.

According to the CCPD Auto Theft Task Force, the thieves made off with 11 catalytic converters from vehicles on two separate occasions at the Sames Ford dealership in the 4700 block of Ayers Street.

Surveillance video taken at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 10 shows two suspects getting in and out of a car. A red truck later pulls up to the car and the two men can be seen throwing the parts into the truck and then riding away.
