Police Investigating Three Separate Purse Snatching Cases at HEB

Police are investigating three theft cases that involve purses being stolen from customers at the HEB at 3133 South Alameda Street.

According to police, the reports show that female victims placing their purses in shopping carts are having them stolen while they are looking at groceries or are distracted for a moment.

In one case, the suspect was followed out of the store by an employee. The suspect ran west on Reid Drive behind the store, and then went north on Hoffman Street, where he jumped a fence. He was later seen crossing South Alameda Street going toward Incarnate Word Academy.

The suspect in that case is described as a male between 18-24 years of age. He has black hair and stands about five-foot eight to six-feet tall, and weighs between 165-185 pounds.
