Police Trying to Identify Suspects in $50,000 Jewelry Heist

Corpus Christi police asking the public for help identifying a man who they say stole about $500,000 worth of jewelry from a store located in the 1800 block of SPID.

The store owner told police that the suspect went behind the counter and got into a safe that was unlocked. Police said the man took the jewelry from the safe and left without paying for it. The theft happening at around 7 a.m. March 30.

The suspect is described as being anywhere from 15-19 years old, standing about five-foot 10 and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

Police said a woman may be involved in the theft as well. She is described as a 15-19 year old female standing about five-foot two, and was wearing a black t-shirt with gray pants, black shoes and a tan purse.
