Three men threaten people with weapon at local park

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Corpus Christi police were dispatched Monday afternoon to the 1700 block of Lemonwood after receiving reports of a disturbance with a weapon.

Officers arrived and made contact with the victims, a 31-year-old male and a 20-year-old female, who said they were walking through Candlewood Park when they were approached by three males that told them they needed to leave the park. The victims, who were out looking for the owner of two stray dogs, ran across the street to call the police.

While they were knocking on the door, the three males approached them in a black Chevy Avalanche. One of the suspects displayed a gun and told the victims he was going to "get them." The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

If you were in the area and have any information, please contact the Corpus Christi Police Department at 361-886-2600.
