Day Two of the Abduction, Sexual Assault Trial of Eric Dimick

Jurors heard more testimony Thursday in the trial of 18-year old Eric Dimick, one of three young men accused of the aggravated abduction and sexual assault of an 11-year old girl.

Forensic experts from the Corpus Christi Police Department, along with Officer Jonathan McGinley, took the stand.

McGinley told jurors that he ran into Dimick and Jacob Musich, who was given a life sentence for his part in the crime, after their sport utility vehicle ran out of gas near Park Road 22 and Highway 361. Their run-in happened on the night the assault occurred in December of 2012.

McGinley identified Dimick in court, but said he did not know that Dimick was a suspect when he met them.

The trial is expected to resume Friday morning.
