Driver Arrested for DWI After Rolling Vehicle on JFK Causeway

A 30-year old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday night after rolling his truck on the JFK Causeway heading toward Flour Bluff.

Witnesses told police they saw Rocky Weehunt driving westbound on the JFK Causeway just after 7 p.m. when he swerved into the concrete barrier and his truck rolled on its side. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment soon after the accident.

When police officers went to the hospital to check on Weehunt's status, they discovered that he was intoxicated.

Weehunt was treated for minor injuries and then arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded and he was transported to the City Detention Center.
