Early Morning Fire at TAMUCC Maintenance Building

Classes at the Island University will resume as normal today after an early morning fire. Flames broke out just before five this morning on the 6300 block of Ocean Drive. When Corpus Christi Firefighters arrived on campus they could see smoke, but could not find where it was coming from. After searching, smoke and small flames were finally found in the maintenance building. Battallion Chief Doug Matthijetz says a dryer started the blaze. No one was inside at that time and no injuries were reported.
