Early-Morning Rush Hour Slowed by Two-Vehicle Accident

A traffic accident slowed early-morning rush hour traffic to a crawl Thursday at the intersection of Weber and Staples, near a construction zone.

It happened just before 8 a.m. According to police, the 16-year old driver of a sport utility vehicle did not yield the right of way and struck a Ford F-150 that was traveling westbound. Luckily, both suffered minor injuries.

The 16-year old driver received a ticket for causing the accident.
