A woman in her sixties is rushed to the hospital after she is hit by a truck.
Police say she was just about the cross the street when the accident happened at the intersection of Kinney and South Staples just after 6:30 Sunday evening.
Police say the man driving the truck pulled up to a stop sign, but did not come to a complete stop and ended up striking the woman.
A person passing by saw the whole thing and stopped to help the victim. Police say the driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
The victim was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial to get checked out.
