Emergency Crews in Live Oak County on Standby for Potential Flooding

The threat of flooding along the upper portions of the Nueces River continues tonight. Experts say the river is supposed to crest this weekend at 40-feet above sea level, which is 15-feet above its banks.

Emergency crews in Live Oak County are taking immediate action as a precaution.

A subdivision called River Creek Acres is about five miles southeast of George West.

By Sunday afternoon, it's expected that the Nueces River will begin pushing water up to homes in that area.
