Eric Dimick Takes the Stand in Kidnapping, Sexual Assault Case

Admitting that he told police he was a liar and thief, 20-year old Eric Dimick took the stand in his own defense Wednesday as his kidnapping and rape case wrapped up their final day of testimony.

Dimick was on the stand as the last witness in his trial, telling jurors about the moments the abduction took place. He is the last of three suspects charged with  kidnapping and raping an 11-year old girl back in December of 2012.

Dimick did not take part in the actual sexual assault, but did play a role in the kidnapping. During questioning by his defense attorney, he was asked whether he abducted the child with intent to commit sexual assault. He responded, "No sir."

Dimick is accused as an accessory in the case. Colton Visor and Jacob Musich have already been found guilty for their part in the crime and have been sentenced.

Final arguments are set to begin Thursday. After that, Dimick's fate will rest in the hands of the jury.
