False Alarm Causes Evacuation at San Patricio County Courthouse

The San Patricio County Courthouse had to be evacuated at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after something triggered the buildings fire alarm.

Court employees and even jail prisoners were forced out of the building. It turned out, dust from construction work being done in the building had filtered into the ventilation system and triggered the alarms.

The all-clear was given about a half-hour later, and business returned to normal.
