The family of one of the co-pilots of late Latin singer, Jenni Rivera, has hired a local attorney to investigate the plane crash that killed the singer and six others.
Craig Sico of Sico, White, Hoelscher, Harris and Braugh, who specialize in aviation litigation cases, has been tasked with determining the cause of the crash.
Family members of the 21-year old co-pilot, Alehandro Torres, who died in the crash, want to clear their family name, after lawyers in Los Angeles claimed pilot inexperience led to the crash.
"Any claims that exist regarding a pilot or a co-pilot having air here, we think are extremely premature," said attorney Craig Sico. "It appears, based on all accounts, that the aircraft acted suddenly, without warning, when it began to move through the air in a very obscure manner."
Rivera and her team were traveling to Toluca, Mexico for an appearance.
