Filing Protests Against Increasing Property Valuations

If you are suffering from property tax appraisal shock and you haven't filed a protest in spite of Monday's deadline, there is still hope.

This year, property valuations went up by 4.5-percent over last year. For some homeowners, that means a big increase. However, the Nueces County chief appraiser told Kiii News Anchor Rudy Trevino that qualifying property owners have a couple of options to make their protests heard.
