Fire Union says they Have Reached an Impasse with the City

The Corpus Christi Firefighters Association announced Wednesday that they have reached an impasse with the City of Corpus Christi during their current collective bargaining agreement.

Recent negotiations over contracts between the City and the Union have run into several road blocks as the City says recent campaigns by the Firefighters Association have violated their collective bargaining agreement.

According to the Union's release Wednesday, the impasse they have reached with the City meets the conditions of Article XVI of their current collective bargaining agreement, allowing that both parties can now mutually agree on one mediator for a period of 14 days. They are now just waiting for the City to agree to enter the mediation period.
