Flour Bluff Looking to Extend Historical Run

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Flour Bluff Hornets have already made school history, but they're not ready to reflect on their run just yet.

The Hornets are 13-0 for the first time ever and are also in the fourth round of the playoffs for the first time ever after getting a miracle touchdown on 4th and 20 to beat LEander this past weekend. Flour Bluff has been to the state quarterfinals before, but that was before the playoffs were extended another round.

Flour Bluff will square off against a Leander Rouse team that hammered G-P 44-7 on the same day and same stadium (S.A. Heroes) that Flour Bluff came back against Leander in. The Hornets say the Raiders have similarly large athletes like their cross town rival Leander, but they feel like they have a speed advantage.

Flour Bluff and Rouse kick off Saturday at 7 pm at Texas State University's Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos, TX. 3Sports will have full coverage Saturday night.
