Food Bank Receives Donation from Jack in the Box

The Food Bank of Corpus Christi received a big donation on Tuesday, courtesy of fast food giant, Jack in the Box.

"We are so blessed here in Corpus Christi, to have so many wonderful corporations, and Jack in the Box is just one of many who support the efforts that we do, to make sure that all of the people in our 11 counties get the food they need to survive," said Debra Bruce with the Food Bank.

Representatives from Jack in the Box were on hand to show off new bags they have donated to the Food Bank. The bags will be used for the weekend Food Pack program that is offered to low-income students in local elementary, junior high and high schools.

For those students that qualify, they will receive food at the end of every school week in the bags. This year, 1,100 of the packs will be handed out.
