Former Attorney Turns Himself Over to Authorities

Former attorney David Bonilla was in court Wednesday morning after spending the night in jail. He turned himself in to authorities late Tuesday night after prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his probation.

Bonilla was convicted in 2011 for stealing more than half a million dollars from dozens of clients. HE was given a 10-year probated sentence and has since lost his license and was disbarred.

The motion to revoke Bonilla's probation was filed because he allegedly violated conditions of his probation, such as alcohol use. Bonilla has reached an agreement with the court to serve 10 years in prison.
