When cancer strikes, especially when a child is affected, it can easily send life into a tailspin. But there's a non-profit in town that is here to help when families have no where else to turn. It's called the Kids Battle Cancer Foundation and today the organization was outside of the Wal-mart in Parkdale Plaza taking donations. The foundation is fairly new, only about 2 years old. Foundation members say they want to help families pay the bills like the electricity and water bills while a child is going through treatment.
If you would like to donate to Kids Battle Cancer Foundation they will be back out at the Wal-mart in Parkdale Plaza from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday. For more information, you can call 361-444-3411.
