Four Injured in Flour Bluff Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle accident injured four individuals Wednesday night, one of them critically.

"An obvious broken leg, and severe head trauma, bleeding from the ears," said Lt. Robert Alvarado of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "She was transported as soon as possible."

Police said that around 9:30 p.m., a man and woman were walking in the middle of Graham Road in Flour Bluff because the stretch of road does not have sidewalks. The couple was not able to move to the side of the road fast enough as a motorcycle approached, and they were both struck.

According to Alvarado, the driver of the motorcycle had slight injuries, but was carrying a passenger who received worse injuries. The woman in the couple that was struck, 23-year old Rebecca Jeffers, received critical injuries. Her partner's were very minor.

The motorcyclist has been ticketed for having no driver's license, no insurance and an expired license plate, but police said he will not face any charges related to the accident.
