Friday Night Sports Blitz - Week 10: Part II

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Flour Bluff completed its second straight unbeaten run through District 31-4A with a 41-7 win over out-manned Laredo Nixon on Friday night. The Bluff will stay at home next week to host Mercedes at 7:30pm Friday in round one of the playoffs.

The Calallen Wildcats, who handed the Bluff its only loss this season, finished a perfect 9-0 regular season with a 63-7 win at Victoria East. That loss eliminated East from the postseason and allowed Gregory-Portland to make the playoffs despite a 2-4 record in District 30-4A ledger.

Alice, like Calallen and Flour Bluff, had already stamped its Class 4A playoff ticket. The Coyotes wrapped up a 9-1 season with a 42-10 road win at Laredo Martin. They will open the playoffs next Friday at Edcouch-Elsa.
