Friday Night Sports Blitz: Week 8 - Part II

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Gregory-Portland Wildcats faced a near must-win situation to keep their District 30-4A playoff hopes alive on Friday night. Their opponents, the Tuloso-Midway Warriors faced much the same scenario as the two teams squared off in Portland.

After stopping an opening T-M on a fourth and goal, the Wildcats regrouped and dialed up senior running back Devin Bisby. Bisby answered the call and G-P rolled to a lopsided 42-7 win.

The Miller Bucs were stunned by a flurry of big plays by previously winless Laredo Cigarroa as they suffered a surprising 44-14 loss at Buc Stadium.

Things were just as one-sided for Moody as the Trojans traveled to Laredo to play the Martin Tigers. An early pick-six for Martin opened the door to a 56-7 win, while Moody suffered its 7th straight loss.
