G-P Wildcats Win Nightcap of Unusual Doubleheader

Corpus Christi (kiii sports)- The Gregory-Portland Wildcats put some long hours on Wednesday as they won both ends of a spring-break doubleheader.

The 'Cats beat District 30-4A rival Port Lavaca 6-0 earlier in the day in a continuation of a game that was halted by fog in Portland on Tuesday night.

After a short break, G-P coaches and players boarded a bus to take on Alice in a previously-scheduled night game at Whataburger Field. The Wildcats made the most of things as they beat the Coyotes 11-6.

Alice had an even tougher day, losing 13-0 to Moody in Alice, then driving 45 miles to Whataburger Field, only to lose to G-P.
