It's Girl Scout cookie season!
The Girl Scouts of South Texas, Corpus Christi division sold more than 300,000 cookies last year and all of the counties in South Texas sold nearly 1 million boxes.
The selling started in January and will continue through February 23. Local troops will be at a variety of restaurants, pharmacies and hardware stores.
Each box costs $4, and the proceeds are given back to the community through a variety of community service projects put on by the girl scout troops.
The girl scouts who were live with Sarah Acosta on Three News First Edition say selling cookies have taught them life skills and the No. 1 seller nation-wide are still Thin Mints.
