Governor Perry Indicted By A Travis County Grand Jury

Late Friday Afternoon Governor Rick Perry was indicted by a Travis County Grand Jury.  The Governor is accused of abusing his power by trying to force the District Attorney of Travis County to step down over her DUI arrest and then threatening to veto funding for a public integrity unit run by the District Attorney's office.

The Governor faces two felony charges: abuse of official capacity and coercion of a public servant. If he is found guilty, the Governor could be sentenced to a maximum 109 years in prison.
