Halliburton Donates Money to Driscoll Children's Hospital

The emergency department at Driscoll Children's Hospital received a makeover, thanks to Halliburton.

The company donated $25,000 to the hospital on Wednesday. The money was raised at the annual Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament.

The money will go towards expanding and redesigning the emergency department at Driscoll.

"This check will go directly towards the expansion and redesign of our children's emergency services area," said Martha St. Romain of Driscoll Children's Hospital. "There's long waits and high volume and demand in that center, so we need to redesign it and make it more child-friendly and patient-focused in this center."

There has been no word yet when the construction work at the hospital will begin.
