Handguns, Rifles, Cocaine and Cash Found in Early Morning Drug Raid

The Corpus Christi Police Department's SWAT team and Narcotics Vice Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a home in the 4400 block of Teak Street early Friday morning. They were expecting to just find drugs, but came away with a lot more.

SWAT officers made entry to the home early in the morning and arrested the occupants of the home, identified as 26-year old Robert Garza and 25-year old Mallaurie Lopez. Inside of the home, police found about 30 weapons, including handguns, hunting rifles and military-style guns, crack cocaine, cocaine, scales and about $4,400 in cash.

Both suspects were charged with manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance and taken to the City Detention Center. Investigators are working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to come up with further charges for the weapons.
