Harold T. Branch Academy Accepting High School Student Applications

The Harold T. Branch Academy, a career and tech-focused school, wants to get the word out that they are taking applications for sophomores, juniors and seniors.

The Academy, located in the 3900 block of Morgan, is currently in its first year of classes with 70 high school students. They offer different advantages than the typical high school due to their partnership with Del Mar College. Those advantages include full tuition for courses taken a Del Mar to acquire an industry certificate, and a number of courses toward an associates degree.

"When people come to me and say oftentimes students say college is not for all, I often challenge that with it just depends on what type of college they want," Branch Academy Principal Tracie Rodriguez said. "They just need to be informed."

Any high school student that lives within the Corpus Christi Independent School District can apply to go to the school. Just go to http://branch.ccisd.us.
