HEB Donates Truckload of Corn Flakes to Food Bank

HEB made a big donation of breakfast cereal to the Food Bank of Corpus Christi Tuesday morning.

An entire truckload containing 25 pallets of HEB brand corn flakes, valued at about $350,000, was donated to help feed some less fortunate people.

"Cereal is something we can use year round, and we pick up everyday milk from the stores," said Bea Hanson, executive director of the Food Bank. "The milk that has the sell by date that has been expired. And that will be very nice for the holidays and throughout the year."

HEB also donated 16 other truck loads of corn flakes to 16 different food banks across the state of Texas.
