Holiday Hustle Results in Speeding Tickets

With just two days left to shop before Christmas, the Corpus Christi Police Department is urging drivers to obey the speed limit.  Officers spent Saturday stopping speeders in this residential area off of McArdle yesterday afternoon.  In about one hour, officers wrote 32 speeding tickets.  One vehicle was impounded for having no insurance.  The speed limit in the area is 30, but people were clocked going as fast as 50 to 55 miles an hour.  Officers urge drivers to not get caught up in the "Christmas crunch" no matter how big of a hurry you are in.
