Hooks' Broadcaster Hicks Hired By Rangers Full-Time

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Former Corpus Christi Hooks radio broadcaster Matt Hicks had the interim tag removed by the Texas Rangers today, as "Hicksie" agreed to a multi-year contract to join the Rangers' radio team on a full-time basis.

Hicks had spent 24 years calling minor league baseball, including the past seven with the Hooks before getting called up to the Rangers last June to finish out the season. Hicks told Channel 3 that 

The Hooks announced that Michael Coffin, who filled in for Hicks last season will take over the full-time job for Corpus Christi next season.
