Hundreds of Cold-Stunned Turtles Rescued, Released

This week's cold snap has officials on the Padre Island National Seashore on alert. Since the end of November, roughly 690 cold-stunned turtles have washed up on Texas shores. Last week, nearly 100 cold-stunned turtles were found, primarily in the upper Laguna Madre. Officials at the National Seashore say nearly all of the rescue turtles have been released into the Gulf.
