We've got some new information from Corpus Christi city officials. In preparation for Ike, City Hall has closed. It closed at noon and will remain closed until further notice. Also, regular city operations will not be up and running today and tomorrow.  Except for brush pickup, that's so residents have time to clear their yards of debris that could become dangerous with hurricane or tropical force winds. The schedule for regular garbage pickup will be decided later today. Mayor Henry Garrett says the city is still in emergency mode but is on standby for evacuating special needs patients. That's because those people were headed to San Antonio, but with the new projected path of Ike, it's looking less likely that our area will feel the brunt of the storm.
