Waves from the energy of Hurricane Ike slammed into the Texas coast from Galveston to Padre Island.  Today the Nueces County run Balli Park near Bob Hall Pier was near obliterated by the power of slamming water. Surf is crashing into the dunes.  That wall of continuous water has wiped out the cabanas near the pier, destroyed the restrooms and showers and picked apart the parking lot behind the cabanas. Certainly the damage is into the great thousands of dollars if not more.
